Thank you for your interest in Mulberry Bush English for Children in Kindergarten!

This program is for children between four and six years old, in German kingergartens.

The classes include songs, stories, and various play activities. It is taught primarily in English, and German is only used in a supportive way.

Children will learn according to the `Hessischen Grundschulrahmenplan´ to:

Listen carefully in order to be able to recognize and reproduce the different English words and expressions.  

Be able to answer basic questions in English, for example: How are you? What's your name? Where do you live? How old are you? Do you have any brothers and sisters? 

Understand simple English texts such as songs, nursery rhymes, stories.  

Use their fantasy in dealing with language that they initially do not understand. 

Experience an English-speaking environment.

English is introduced in a playful way to the children, in small groups of six maximum. 

English is learned through all three learning channels: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. 

The children will become familiar with English through a variety of fun activities and materials, that are appropriate for the attention span of children four to six years old.  

German is only used in a supportive way. 

We do not use schoolbooks. Most of the material is developed by the teacher herself. 

Attention is paid to pronunciation. 

Our basic method relates to didactic language-teaching principles. 

Singing songs. 

Listening to stories.

Playing games.

Doing handicrafts in relation to a certain topic.

Doing visual arts in relation to a certain topic.

Using pre-school materials.

Taking part in certain class practices, such as welcoming and saying goodbye.

Holidays, e. g., Christmas and Thanksgiving

Group size:
Six children maximum.

Age:
  Four to six years.

Classes per week:
  Once a week; 45 minutes.

Term:
  Usually 12 weeks.

Material:
  Class materials are developed by the teacher and are included in the price.

Where?
  Bad Soden, Tanzschule Pelzer (building addition), Zum Quellenpark 31.

When?
  Mondays: 14:15 – 15:00
  Tuesdays: 14:15 – 15:00

  No classes during the school holidays.
No charges during the school holidays.
